The greatness of a lover of the Holy Quran
Sayyiduna Shaykh Sabit Bunani رحمۃ اللہ علیہ used to complete the recitation of the Holy Quran once every day. He رحمۃ اللہ علیہ would always observe fast during the day and offer supererogatory Salah throughout the night. He would always offer 2 Raka'at of Nafl Salah in every Masjid he passed by (this Salah is known as Tahiyya-tul-Masjid). Revealing the blessings bestowed upon him, he says, I have completed the recitation of the entire Holy Quran and I have wept in the court of my Rab تعالی next to each and every pillar of the Jamia Masjid. He رحمۃ اللہ علیہ had exceptional love for Salah and for the recitation of the Holy Quran, and the extent of the blessings upon him is coveted. Consequently, after his passing away ,during the burial suddenly a brick slipped and fell into the grave. When some people leaned in to pick up the brick they were amazed to see that the Shaykh رحمۃ اللہ علیہ was standing in his grave and offering his Salah !utterance of the recitation of the Holy Quran coming from inside the blessed grave. dear islamic brothers! syyiduna isma'eel (alaihi salam)is the chosen an beloved Prrophet of Allah (azwajal) and has been bestowed with special rewards and favours, that is why,he (alaihi salam) always remained steadfast in the face of Divine trials and tribulations with the blessing of Allah (azwajal) let's listen to one of the most famous parable of Sayyiduna isma'eel  (alaihi salam) followed by Madani pearls obtained from it.
The same dream during three nights
on the eighth night of Zul-Hajj, Sayyiduna Ibraheem  (alaihi salam) dreamt that someone said, Indeed Allah (azwajal) has commanded you to sacrifice your son.' From dawn to dusk , he  (alaihi salam)continued contemplating whether the dream was from Allah (azwajal) or from satan. This is the reason why the eighth of Zul-Hajj was named' YOM U TARVIA i.e. the day of contemplation. On the ninth night of Zul-Hajj, he  (alaihi salam)had the same dream and was convinced that the dream was from Allah (azwajal), which is why the ninth of Zul-Hajj is referred to as YOM-E-ARAFA i.e.the day of recognition. After he  (alaihi salam) had the same dream once again on the tenth of Zul-Hajj he  (alaihi salam)made a firm intention of sacrificing his son, it is for this reason the tenth of Zul-Hajj is called YOM U NAHAR i.e. the day of sacrifice.(Tafseer-e-Kabeer,vol,9,pp,346)

Unique way of complying with Divine commandment

Dear Islamic brothers! The status and rank of the blessed Prophets (alaihimusalam) are exalted and higher than the rest of creation, therefore the hardships they experienced are also greater but look at the patience and steadfastness of these blessed personalitied that they not only bear the hardships gracefully but also attain higher status in the blessed court of Allah (azwajal) they also prepare thieir family members for the trials to come in the future; these are the great sacrifices which become lessons for the people of the world. As the dreams of the blessed Prophets (alaihimusalam) are revelations to them.

can a disease itself become an antidote
it is stated on page 367, volume 1 of the two- volume book 'Uyun-ul-Hikayat :The renowned and blessed personality of the Qadiriyyah,Razawiyyah Silsilah (spiritual Sufi order), Sayyiduna Abu Qaasim junayd Baghdadi رضی اللہ عنہ  has stated:I experienced a state of discontent, restlessness and uneasiness one night, Ikept my self busy worshippig but the inner peace & tranquillity was very far from me; I struggled to attain concentration , humility & fear, but it was in vain; I then started reciting the Glorious Quran but still I felt deprived of inner peace & concentration. What was keeping me away from the pleasure of worshipping i wondered Eventually, in the last quarter of the night, i put my mantle on my shoulder and came out of my house . After walking some distance, Isaw a person wrapped in a mantle. When i approached him, he raised his head and asked me, Why are you so worried? Has the Doomsday taken place? I questioned, Has the appointed time of  the Day of judgement approached? That person replied No, But  I am just asking whether you are going to attain inner peace after experiencing the state of agitation and uneasiness? I responded Yes! I have really come out to attain contentment of heart and I want to know why I have not been attaining it tonight? I then inquired from that person, Do you want anything from me? I then inquired from that person, Do you want anything from me? He answered in the affirmative and said O Abu Qaasun ! is there any situation where disease itself becomes the antidote? I replied Yes ! There is one such situation , listen carefully, all diseases of your heart will ward off from you when you oppose the desires of your Nafs and the same diseases themselves will become antidotes."
Having listened to this, that man took a sigh of relief and said I have been answered this question seven times tonight but I had the strong desire to listin to this answer from you; now by the grace of Allah عزوجل I have heard it from you. Saying that he departed from there and was never seen again

Endeavour Remains Unfinished
The Prophet of Rahmah, the Intercessor of Ummah ,the Owner of jannah (peace be upon him) has sated,"Any important work which is started without (reciting) ? remains unfinished.
(Ad-Dur-rul-Mansur,pp.26,vol,1)
Keep on Reciting
Dear Islamic brothers! Befor eating any thing, drinking water and any beverage, serving food and water to others , putting things down, picking things up,washing, cooking, reciting, studying, teaching, walking, driving, getting up, sitting down, turning on the light or the fan, laying or removing the dining mat, folding, or spreading the bed sheet, opening or closing the shop , looking or unlocking, applying oil or perfume, delivering a speech, reciting a Na'at, wearing shoes, adorning one's head with turban, opening or closing the door , that is to say, before starting any permissible act(when there is no shar i prohibition)it is of great virtue to make a habit of reciting ? attaining  its blessings.
Protection of Things from jinns
sayyiduna Safwan bin Sulaim رحمۃ اللہ علیہ has stated, jinns use the things and clothes of human beings.Whenever anyone of you picks up clothes (to put on) or puts them down (after taking them off), he should recite بسم اللہ because the name of Allah will be a seal for it. (In other words, by virtue of the recitation of بسم اللہ jinns will not be able to use the clothes
 (Luqt-ul-Mrjan,p,98)
Dear Islamic brothers! Similarly, whilst picking up or putting down anything, one shold make a habit of reciting ﷽ he will remain safe from the involvement of wicked jinns,

how to avoid unreal love
Question:Please tell the causes of unreal love and how to avoid it!
Answer:The causes of unreal love include nudity,obscenity,co-education,unveiling,films,reading romantic and sinful articles in novels and newspapers etc.Boys and girls who play with each other during childhood can also fall prey to this due to their early childhood friendships. If parents stop their sons at a very early age from playing with girls,in fact even with the daughters of close relatives,in fact even their nieces, and similaryly, stop their daughters from playing with boys and make efforts to keep them away from the aforementioned sinful influences as well then they stand a good chance of saving them from such unreal love.Children should be taght to love Allah and His Belved Prophet (peace be upon him)from a very young age.If anyone truly loves the Beloved Prophet(peace be upon him),then he will be safe from unreal love,

Signs of an Evil Man
Sayyidatuna Asma Bint Umais Razi Allahu anha reports that she heard the Blessed Prophet (peace be upon him ) saying, "One who is arrogant and forgets Allah (azwajal) is very evil.So is the one who opresses the weak and transgresses limits and forgets the Glorious Allah (azwajal) and the one who indulges in games and amusements and forgets rotting in his grave, and causes mischief and forgets his beginning and end (birth and death)and the one who deceives the world through his religion and ruins religion by indulging in doubtful actions, and he who is dragged by greed and is led astray from the straight path by his desires and the one who is disgraced by his desires; all of them are evil

Raising your Child to be a Muslim
It is true that the first learning center for a child is the mother’s lap. The mannerisms of the parents are reflected in the children.

The story of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani is famous: When he was traveling with a caravan, a gang of thieves robbed the caravan, when it came time to check Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Rahmatullahi Alaih), an eighteen year old young man, the thieves inquired if he had any valuables to which told them about money which had been sewn in his clothes by his mother. The thieves asked out of curiosity as to why he let them know of the sewn money to which he told them that his mother had advised him before leaving ‘to never lie’ upon which the thieves become ashamed and repented to Allah.

It is the duty of the parents to be an example to their children and advise them. Allah (Subhanahu Ta’ala) tells us of the advise that Luqman Hakeem gave to his son, “Behold, Luqman said To his son by way of instruction: “O my son! Join not others with Allah; association with Allah is indeed the highest wrong-doing.”

Then after some ayaat, the advise continues,
O my son! If there be (but) the weight of a mustard-seed and it were (hidden) in a rock or (anywhere) in the heavens or on earth, Allah will bring it forth; for Allah knows the finest mysteries, (and) is well-acquainted (with them).

O my son! Establish regular prayer, enjoin what is Just, and forbid what is wrong; and bear with patient constancy whatever befalls thee; these are affairs of determination.

And swell not thy check (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; For Allah loveth not Any arrogant boaster.

And be moderate in thy pace, and lower they voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of an ass.

(Surah Luqman)

We can recall not to long ago in our Muslim culture that all the grown-ups in the community would take the role of guiders for the youth. No child dared acting up in front of elders in any gathering. All the elders held enough authority that they could discipline the child without having to face the wrath of the parents as is the case today. As a result, children tend to misbehave and disrespect elders because they no longer have fear discipline from anyone besides that parents and that too is seen little.

Parents find out too late that what they thought was giving ‘freedom’ to their children was really digging a hole for them. Being affectionate to your child is one thing but to let them free to do anything is not affection rather it is hurting the child. Ah, this is all a result of the parents forgetting the duty of teaching the child. More often the television takes the place of the parent and it is from here the child gains much of his/her ill-mannerisms. Today, I ask you to take my words to be a reminder and a word of caution.

When the child is able to speak a little, teach them the name of Allah. Before, mothers would put their children to sleep by chanting Allah Allah, but now it is by playing the music on the radio.

When children are mature do not do anything in front them which will ruin their mannerisms because they tend to copy these acts, they do whatever they see their parents doing. Never argue with your spouse in front of them because this leaves puts a lot of stress on the child and causes them to think that they are the cause of the argument. Never curse your children.

Pray Salah in front of them, recite Quran, take them to the Masjid with you, and tell them stories of our pious predecessors, they like to listen to stories very much. Hearing stories with lessons and morals will increase their good habits. When they are a little older, teach them the five Kalimat, Imane Mujmal, Imane Mufassal, and then teach them Salah.

Put them in under the teaching of an Allah-fearing, Mutaqee Saheehul Aqeeda Hafiz or Maulvi of to learn Quran Majeed and knowledge of the deen so they can learn of the beautiful religion to which they belong. Teach them the masail of gusul, wudu, and salah.

If Allah gives you taufeeq, make atleast on your children Alim or Alimah or Hafiz or Hafiza. A Hafiz will get three generations forgiven and Alim will get seven generations forgiven [on the Day of Judgement]. It is baseless to think that an Alim has no source of earning bread for his family. Know that one does not get more than destined by learning uloom of the dunya; one will get what Razzaq has written for him.

Teach your children simplicity and do not expose them to materialism. Teach them the value of doing thier own work. Send them to college, make them judges, make them doctors or any successful and halal career in this world but make them such that they take on these professions as honest Muslims who know their religion.

CLARIFICATION OF AN IMPORTANT ISSUE —
THE CORRECT WAY OF WRITING IN SHA' ALLAH

QUERY: What do the noble scholars state with regards to the following issue? Is writing in sha' Allah (ان شاء الله) on the pattern of insha' Allah (انشاء الله) correct? Does the meaning change due to the difference of writing in these two patterns? Kindly explain the matter and gain reward. ʿAbdullah Qadiri, Karachi.

REPLY: The phrase in sha' Allah is based upon three words and all the three words have their own individual positions in the science of nahw .

1. In is shartiyah .
2. Sha' is fi'l madhi m'aruf
3. Allah is ismu jalalah and the doer of the action sha', according to grammatical analysis.

These three words are written separately. The conditional word in was not written jointly along with the verb, anywhere in the Arab or Ajam. They have been written separately in the Qur'an, hadith and Arabic literature contained in the books of the past fourteen centuries. But nowadays, the error of writing the conditional in jointly with the verb sha' has become widespread in the Arab and non-Arab lands. This error, contained in certain Arabic websites and careless writing ways, is spreading rapidly in non-Arab lands, especially India and Pakistan. The correct way of writing it is in sha' Allah (ان شاء الله) only. Writing it as insha' Allah (انشاء الله) is absolutely incorrect. It is necessary for every Muslim to abstain from writing in this manner because the meaning that occurs due to this way of writing is kufr .

Qur'anic Verses:

It is evident from the above-mentioned Qur'anic verses that the conditional in has been written separately from the past tense verb sha'.

The way in which in sha' Allah has been written in the Prophetic narrations:

Sahih Bukhari, #407
Sahih Muslim, #295
Sunan Abi Dawud, #421
Sunan Ibn Majah, #1301

Clarification of the meaning of insha' Allah (انشاء الله):

When in is written jointly with sha', it becomes insha' which is a root word in the category of actions and its meaning is 'to create', 'to invent'. Its past and present continuous tense forms are insha' (انشأ and yunshi' ینشیٔ) respectively. Its meaning is 'to create or invent something, the like of which never existed before'. Allah states:

In the above-mentioned verses, insha' is the masdar belonging to the category of actions. Insha' is active past tense and yunshi' is present continuous tense form, the meaning of which is 'to create'. Now consider the third verse. The root word insha' is present in it. The forms of the root word insha' and the one written in insha' Allah are one and the same. When the conditional in is written jointly with the verb sha', its meaning will contain kufr.

Meaning, 'we created Allah' or 'we invented Allah'. We seek refuge in Allah from this (meaning)!

The meaning of in sha' is 'the Divine Will', whereas, insha' means 'to create' or 'to invent'. Writing in jointly with sha' gives such extremely abominable meanings. Thus, it is necessary for all the Muslims to abstain from this way of writing. Wherever they see this written, they should rectify it immediately. It is our fair perception that not even the thought of the vile meanings ever crosses any Muslim's mind. But, while writing, in sha' should be written instead of insha', i.e., the way in which it is written in the Qur'an and hadith texts, so that every trace of thenefarious meaning is eliminated. We do not want to begin a nahwi explanation here, otherwise the discussion will become lengthy. A new discussion can be started to explain the relationship between the root word insha' as mudaf and the Lofty Name (Allah) as mudaf ilayh , but there is no scope for it here (to keep the discussion simple). Our aim is to explain to the common people. We request the scholars and students of knowledge that they make the laymen aware of this matter.

Insha' as mudaf and the Lofty Name (Allah) as mudaf ilayh :

It is mentioned in Tafsir Tabari:

إن عجبتم من إنشاء الله إیاكم

In another place:

In these two statements, the word insha' is present and the meaning of the word in both these statements is, 'to create'. In the above statements, the root word insha' is the mudaf , and the doer, i.e., Lofty Name (Allah) is the mudaf ilayh . The meanings are, “Allah's creation of you” and “Allah's creation of the clouds”. The purpose of mentioning this is, even if insha' is considered as mudaf , the purpose of saying in sha' Allah will be nullified. Because, when we say in sha' Allah,we hand over the results of our deeds to the Divine Will of Allah and seek help from Him. But, when we write insha' Allah in the form of mudaf and mudaf ilayh, the meaning becomes “creation by Allah”, which is not our intended meaning. Whenever we make an intention for a good deed, we say in sha' Allah – this is from the Islamic etiquettes and a sunnah (tradition of the Prophet – may Allah bless and greet him). We hand over our intention to the Divine Will of Allah. Here, our purpose is not to mention Allah as the Creator and the Originator.

Mufti Sayyid Shuja'at Ali Qadiri has authored a book by the name 'Insha-ul-Arabiyyah'. The meaning of the title is, 'building eloquence in the Arabic language'. If we write this word insha' (used here) with the Lofty Name (Allah), it will not fulfill our purpose. The meaning will drift from 'the Divine Will' (the intended meaning) to 'create' and 'invent'.

It is mentioned in Qasidatul Burdah,

In this verse, the word al-munshi indicates the name of the doer, the meaning of which is 'to create'. The translation of the verse is:

All praises are due to Allah, who brought forth the creation from nonexistence.

munshi means 'creator', 'the One who brings forth from nonexistence'. The difference between writing nasha' and insha' is similar to that between writing in sha' Allah and insha' Allah. After all the above explanation, we presume that the Sunni masses have understood that the correct way of writing is in sha' Allah and that has to be followed from now on. Also bear in mind that one should abstain from words which have aberrations in them, especially when it pertains to the Divine Glory and the Prophetic Magnificence. Immense caution has to be exercised therein. Finally, I would advise that while sending messages through SMS or email, one should always write in sha' Allah If it is being written in English, do not write insha Allah, inshaallah or inshaALLAH. Instead, write in sha Allah, in shaa Allah or in sha' Allah.

Translated into English by: Najibullah Qadiri

Du‘a is the most powerful weapon of a believer. It can change fate, while no action of ours ever do. It is the essence of ‘Ibadah or worship. With it we can never fail; without it we can never succeed. With all the suffering and disasters Muslims are facing in various parts of the world, the question of Du‘a can be directed to all of us today. It is not that we have forgotten Du‘a completely; we refer to it regularly. But, our ideas and practice regarding Du‘a have become distorted. Often it is reduced to the level of a ritual. It is belittled through actions and sometimes even with words. Almighty Allah says:

 وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ“And your Lord proclaimed, “Pray to Me, I will accept; indeed those who stay conceited towards worshipping Me, will enter hell in disgrace.” [Surah al-Ghafir, Verse 60]
The Almighty Allah states:
فَلَوْلا إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُواْ وَلَكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ“So why did they not humbly plead when Our punishment came to them? But their hearts were hardened and the devil made all their deeds appear good to them!” [Surah al-An'am, Verse 43]  ..:: THE EXCELLENCE OF DU’A ::..
There are numerous Ahadith relating to the excellence of Du’a.
HADITH NO. 1
Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam states that Almighty Allah says:
I am as My servant thinks of Me. [Recorded in Bukhari (Hadith 7239), Muslim, Tirmidi, Nisa’i  and Ibn Maja on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah]
This means that as a servant imagines or has an opinion concerning Allah, the Merciful Lord accordingly reacts with him. Knowledge and Qudrat is with everything but there is a special proximity of mercy with those who make Du’a to Him. What bigger mercy can a servant ask for than being blessed with the Divine Proximity of the Sublime Lord? Thousands of acceptances and millions of desires and intentions may be sacrificed on such Divine Proximity!
HADITH NO. 2
There is nothing nobler to Allah than Du‘a. [Recorded in Tirmidi, Ibn Maja, Ibn Habban and Hakim narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah. Also cited in Tahzib al-Kamil, Vol. 4, Page 309]

Must I not inform you of the thing which will protect you from your enemy and increase your sustenance? Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam states:
Allah casts His Anger on those who do not invoke Him. [Reported by Imam Ahmad, Ibn Abi Shaybah, and Al-Bukhari in Adab al Mufrad, Tirmidi, Ibn Maja and Hakim on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah, Hadith 3295]
Such concepts and meanings are also reported in the Hadith al-Qudsi as follows:
 عَنِ النَّبى صَلَى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ سَلَّمَ قَالَ قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالى مَن ْ لاَ يَدعُو نِى اَغضَب ُعَلَيهِOne who does not invoke Me, I will direct My Anger at him. (Allah save us from this!) [Reported by Al-Askari in his Mawa’iz]
Oh Beloved! Supplication is an amazing wealth that Allah I blessed His servants with, and through it gave them honour. There is nothing more effective and powerful in fulfilling needs in desperation besides Du‘as. Likewise, nothing is more potent in removing Bala than Du‘as. A person benefits from five things of a single Du‘a:
 1. He is included in the category of ‘Abids (worshippers) because Supplication by nature is ‘Ibadah, in fact, the goal of ‘Ibadah.2. In supplication one acknowledges one’s inferiority and dependency in relation to the Omnipotent Lord and His Divine mercies.3. Obedience to the sacred Shari'ah because it has laid great stress in making supplications - and the danger of Divine Anger on those who do not supplicate.4. It is a great Sunnah of the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam as he supplicated frequently and ordered others to do the same.5. It is a deterrent of Bala and achiever of goals as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. If man seeks security from Allah from calamities, then the Merciful Lord will give it to him. If one seeks a desire to be fulfilled, the Sublime Creator will shower His mercies on him or else blesses him with Thawab in the Akhirah. The Master of the Sinless, Sayyiduna Rasoollulah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam states:
“A servant’s supplication is never void of three things:
1) either his sins are forgiven,2) or he benefits in this world,3) or virtues are accumulated for him in the hereafter.
When the servant will observe this reward (Thawab) accumulated for him in the hereaftr in compensation for that which was not fulfilled in the Duniyah, then he will desire that none of his desires should have been fulfilled in the world, but rather be accumulated for the hereafter.”
This desire and benefit is for him who desires so in this Duniyah when supplicating. It is advised that when making Du‘a, this ethic should be considered seriously. --Taken fromaHsan al-Wiyah li Aadab al-Du'a by Imam Naqi Ali al-Qadiri

The Holy Prophet said:1) The best of you is he who learns the Holy Quran and teaches it to others. (Bukhari)

7) Says Allah, "Whoever was kept busy with the [recitation] of Quran from my Zikr and asking me, I will give him better than what I give to those who ask and the excellence of the Word of Allah over all the other words is like the excellence of Allah over all his creation.
8) Learn the Quran and read it because whoever learned the Quran and read it and did Qiyam (stood in prayer) with it is like a bag filled with Musk whose fragrance is spread everywhere and whoever learned the Quran and slept that is he did not perform Qiyamul Layl (the night prayer) is like a bag which is filled with Musk and its mouth has been closed. (Baihiqi)
Rewards for certain Surahs and Ayahs

4) Whoever recites Surah Kahf on the day of Jumuah (Friday), there will be a Nur (Light) created for him between two Fridays.
5) Everything has a heart and the heart of the Quran is Surah Yaseen. Whoever recited Yaseen, Allah will write the reward of reading the Quran ten times from him. (Tirmizi and Darmi)
6) Whoever reads Surah Yaseen for the pleasure of Allah, his past sins will be forgiven so read this near your deceased. (Baihiqi)
7) (Reading) Qul hu WAllahu Ahad (Surah Ikhlas) is equal to [reading] one third of the Quran. (Saheeh Bukhari)
8) Whoever reads Ayatul Kursi after every Fard Salah (obligatory prayer), will be under the protection and security of Allah. (Dailmi on the Authority of Sayeduna Ali)
9) (On the Day of Judgement) a caller will say O Recitor of Surah An’aam, come to Paradise, for loving Surah An’aam and its recitation.
10) Surah Tabarak (Surah Mulk) saves one from Hell.
11) Whatever task is not begun with Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem remains incomplete and unfinished.
Etiquettes and Rules of Recitation:1) To memorize one Ayah of the Quran is Fard-e-Aeen (compulsory) on every duty-bound Muslim; to memorize the entire Holy Quran is Fard-e-Kifayah (compulsory for one amongst a group); to memorize Surah Fatiha and a small Surah or something similar like three small Ayahs or one long Ayah is Wajib-e-Aeen (obligatory). (Durre Mukhtar)
2) To read the Holy Quran while looking at it is better than reading without looking at it because in this case one touches the Holy Quran, sees the Holy Quran, and reads the Holy Quran and all this is worship. (Bahar-e-Shariat)
3) To read the Holy Quran in the restroom and such places of impurity is not allowed.
4) It is prohibited to read the Holy Quran loudly for everyone together in a gathering. However, it is necessary to read it loudly enough so that one can hear what he/she is reading (if there is no other distraction like noise). (Bahare-e-Shariat). If many children recite it together in the madrassah (school), for learning purposes, it is allowed.
5) It is better to read the Quran loudly if somebody praying, sleeping, or somebody ill will not be distracted. (Gunyah)
6) If somebody is reciting the Quran incorrectly then it is Wajib (obligatory) to tell him/her unless if one fears jealousy and hate. (Gunyah)
7) To memorize the Holy Quran and then to forget it is a sin.
8) It is from the etiquettes of respecting the Holy Quran that one does not put their back towards the Quran or spread their legs towards the Quran or sit in a high place when the Quran is beneath. (Bahare Shariat)
9) During recitation reflect on what you are reading. For example, when reading about punishment, one should repent; when reading about paradise, one should rejoice and pray for it.
10) Sajdah Tilwat (The prostration of recitation): If one hears or reads the Ayat of Sajdah (prostration) he should stand with the intention of performing the prostration and saying “Allahu Akbar”, fall into prostration and recite the Tasbeeh of Sajdah at least three times. Then saying “Allahu Akbar”, one should stand up. To say Allahu Akbar both times is Sunnah. Similarly, to stand before and after the Sajdah is Mustahab. (Durre Mukhtar)
Lastly, learn how to read the Quran in the company of a Qualified Sunni Alim [and mature sisters must go to a qualified sister] who can teach them how to read as this is necessary. At times, while reciting many brothers and sisters unknowingly make mistakes in recitation which change the meaning which breaks their Salah. Likewise, send your children to Madrasahs where they may learn how to recite the Quran with correct pronunciation and Qirat. If there is no Madrasah in your town, then establish one. Knowledge of Islam leads one to love Allah and helps build a good moral character within the Muslim community.
By learning the Quran, a Muslim saves his Salah, his Imaan, and his Akhirah. Learning the Quran is not limited to just learning how to recite the Holy Book, rather, it is a life- long process of learning how to recite it and understand what the Quran says. The noble Ulema have worked hard and written volumes of Tafseer (exegesis) which consists of Ahadeeth, stories, and important points. After learning the Quran, we must practice it and spread the word into our family and community.
